What’s happening with our cloud infrastructure

Our dedicated team at Namecheap Cloud has been diligently working on the second version of our cloud infrastructure, representing the culmination of all the knowledge and expertise gained from our first version. This new iteration has been meticulously designed to take our hosting technology to the next level, ensuring that we can offer you an even more exceptional hosting environment.

Migration straight ahead

Starting this month, we’re rolling out this upgrade. No need to stress; we’ll smoothly move all our current users to the new infrastructure over the coming months. Everyone using EasyWP on Namecheap will migrate to our cloud infrastructure 2.0. 

To ensure a seamless transition, we’ll be sending you email notifications both before and after your website is migrated to the new infrastructure. We understand the importance of keeping you informed every step of the way throughout this migration process, so you can focus on what matters most – your website’s success.

Tech boosts:

• Stronger against DDoS. The new infrastructure is like a fortress against DDoS attacks, ensuring your site stays up and running.
• Zooming speed. We’ve turbocharged loading times. Faster storage and better databases mean your site will be up to 44% faster.
• Backup dash. Backups are quicker and will be kept outside your dedicated account storage, meaning they won’t gobble up your precious disk space anymore.
• Plugin palooza. While a few plugins are still blocked (see the list at the end of this post), some plugins that were off-limits are now your buddies. Customize away!

Things to remember:

• Backup limits. You can make up to 10 backups now. It’s all about efficient resource use.
• Custom installations: Due to the particulars of the new infrastructure, it will no longer be possible to run custom installations.
